چکیده

This paper presents a method of estimating target location and scattered waveforms, whose accuracies are interdependent. The technique relies on iterative improvements of estimated dominant-frequency waveforms. Description of the algorithm is followed by statistical simulation examples. The performance of the technique is contrasted with conventional methods and statistical bounds in terms of target locationing accuracy. Results indicate that our proposed method has a remarkable performance, which is close to the theoretical limit. A High-Resolution Imaging Algorithm without Derivatives Based on Waveform Estimation for UWB Radars

UWB pulse radars enable us to measure a target location with high range-resolution, and so are applicable for measurement systems for robots and automobile. We have already proposed a robust and fast imaging algorithm with an envelope of circles, which is suitable for these applications. In this method, we determine time delays from received signals with the matched filter for a transmitted wav...

An Accurate Imaging Algorithm with Scattered Waveform Estimation for UWB Pulse Radars

UWB pulse radars that offer target shape estimation are promising as imaging techniques for household or rescue robots. We have already proposed an efficient algorithm for a shape estimation method SEABED which is a fast algorithm based on a reversible transform. SEABED extracts quasi wavefronts from received signals with the filter that matches the transmitted waveform. However, the scattered ...

An Imaging Algorithm of a Target with Arbitrary Motion for Ultra Wide-Band Radar with a Small Number of Antennas

UWB (ultra wide-band) pulse radar is a promising candidate for surveillance systems. The fast SEABED (Shape Estimation Algorithm based on BST and Extraction of Directly scattered waves) imaging algorithm is deployed in the application of UWB pulse radar in fields that require real-time operations. However, since the SEABED algorithm uses signals received at multiple locations, this method eithe...

An Experimental Study on an Accurate UWB Radar Imaging Method for a Target with Unknown Motion using a Small Number of Antennas

Developing a cost-effective security system has been an important issue in crime prevention. Although cameras have been known as an effective candidate for this purpose, they have some downside, such as difficulty in accurately estimating the three-dimensional shape of a target, and the exact distance to a target [1], [2]. Ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse radar is an alternative for resolving these p...

2-Dimensional Imaging of Human Bodies with UWB Radar Using Approximately Uniform Walking Motion along a Straight Line with the SEABED Algorithm

UWB (Ultra Wide-Band) pulse radar is a promising candidate for surveillance systems designed to prevent crimes and terror-related activities. The high-speed SEABED (Shape Estimation Algorithm based on BST and Extraction of Directly scattered waves) imaging algorithm, is used in the application of UWB pulse radar in fields that require realtime operations. The SEABED algorithm assumes that omni-...
